There was a fair bit of clay and builders rubble to remove, five tonnes of high quality bedding loam to put in, and then the plants.

The brief was to match the needs of a busy, rambunctious family and to grow with them. Planting was largely shrubs and bulbs as a winter scheme to be added to later next spring by perennials and annuals. SIlvers, reds, purples and greens were the palette. Spacing for shrubs to grow was observed.
